Licence and usage rights

Free components are MIT-licensed: use them anywhere. Pro components are licensed per developer: build as many products as you like with them, for yourself or for clients — just don't resell or give away the components themselves.

Free components and blocks: MIT

Every item marked Free is released under the MIT License. You can use, change and share it in personal, commercial and open-source work. Keep the notice below with substantial copies of the source.

Pro components and blocks: per developer

A Pro purchase licenses one developer — the person who holds the account — to use every Pro item under these terms.

You can

  • Use Pro items in unlimited projects: your own products, client work, SaaS apps, internal tools and websites.
  • Change the source however you like, and ship it inside the products you build.
  • Hand a finished project to a client; they can keep running and maintaining it.
  • Keep using everything you installed after your access ends. You just stop receiving new Pro items and updates.
  • Use code exported from the Studio on the same terms as the component it uses.

You can't

  • Sell, share or give away Pro items as components or building blocks — for example in a UI kit, template, theme, starter, design system, page builder or component library that others use to build their own products.
  • Publish Pro source where others can take the components themselves, such as a public repository or package.
  • Share your licence key or account. Each developer who works with Pro source needs their own licence.

Common questions

We're a team of five. How many licences?

One per developer who installs or edits Pro source. Teammates who only use the finished product don't need one. See pricing.

Can I use Pro items in an open-source project?

Free items, yes — they're MIT. Pro items can't be published in a public repository, because that would give the components away. Keep Pro source in private code.

Can I sell a template built with Uxelith?

Not with Pro items inside it: a template is a product others build their own sites from, so it would pass the components on. A template made only from free items is fine under the MIT License.
